How does it work? Well, it's essentially a teacher student introduction service. We introduce teachers looking for students to students looking for teachers....that's about it.

Teachers, students and business professionals add their profiles...
Teachers, students or business professionals who are serious about teaching high quality lessons enter their teaching details on an online profile. This profile contains information about your teaching and work skills and experience, available teaching times, preferable teaching location, available teaching time, teaching price per hour and contact details. You can fill in only the details you wish to fill in but we ask you fill in either your email address or phone number so that students can contact you. You can also add a photo and a video clip to your profile.

Profiles with photos and video clips attached will generally be pushed towards the top of the list of available teachers.

Students view these profiles and contact you directly...
Students (Chinese or otherwise) view your teaching profile online. If they decide they would like to have language lessons with you , they contact you directly, either by phone or email. You and your student then agree upon a teaching time and place. You can not change your price from the one you quoted in your online form. If you want to change your teaching price, you must make the change on your online form.

Rules
You need to intend to be willing to give lessons for a minimum of 3 months at the same place in China.
Your profile must be kept up to date. You can not ask for a fee greater than that quoted on your online profile.
You must not lie on your profile.
You can not use this site as a media to make friends primarily. The purpose of this site is to match students with teachers earnest about teaching. If any teacher is reported not to be teaching satisfactory lessons, they will instantly be remived from this site.

We (theprivateteacher.com) reserves to remove any profile at our complete discretion and also reserve the right not to put up any profiles at our discretion. If you enter a profile which we feel inappropriate, offensive, in poor taste or written in grammatically incorrect English it is most likely we will delete it from our database.
